

Thom Humphrey is one of Australia’s leading euphonium players. Based in Sydney, he is at the cutting edge of new developments in performance and composition for the instrument.
Playing professionally across a variety of musical genres, Thom has worked with ensembles as diverse as The Queensland Orchestra, ELISION, Doch, Elixir, Opera Australia and Australian Brass.
As a soloist Thom has enjoyed playing in Singapore, the UK and Australia with various wind ensembles, brass bands and orchestras. His solo recitals focus on displaying the technical virtuosity and lyricism of the euphonium, communicating both traditional and contemporary works to his audience.
Thom is a graduate of the Qld Conservatorium and in 2005 received a scholarship to the Royal Northern College of Music where he completed a Master’s Degree. Thom is a Yamaha Performing Artist
